$135,000 Settlement – Neighbors Dog Attacks Man in the Face Causing Serious Injuries

When this happened, the dog attacked our client, biting his lips and mouth. Our client was transported to the hospital via ambulance to be treated for his injuries. At the hospital our client received several stitches to his upper lip. Shortly after the accident our client began treatment with a plastic surgeon, who unfortunately told our client that due to the extent of soft tissue loss on his upper lip, his lip would never look like it did before the dog attacked him. Once the injury healed it caused a significant amount of scar tissue that caused abnormal movement and interference when our client opened and closed his mouth. Our client’s plastic surgeon advised him that in the future he would need to undergo surgery to revise his scars and reconstruct his upper lip defect.
