Joshua Gurwell

Joshua Gurwell represents clients in car accidents, truck accidents, slip-and-fall injuries, dog-bite cases, and other personal injury matters at Charles E. Boyk Law Offices. Since beginning his legal career, Josh has focused exclusively on personal injury law, helping injured individuals navigate the legal process and recover the compensation they deserve.

Josh earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Eastern Michigan University before receiving his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2022. He is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and South Carolina. Before joining Charles E. Boyk Law Offices, Josh practiced personal injury law at a respected injury firm in Charleston, South Carolina, where he gained valuable experience representing accident victims.

Inspired by his grandmother, a lifelong guidance counselor, Josh knew from an early age that he wanted a career dedicated to helping others. That commitment ultimately led him to personal injury law, where he believes he can make a meaningful difference for people facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Josh is known for building strong relationships with his clients. He believes great representation goes beyond legal advice, which is why he makes himself accessible throughout every case, providing clients with his personal cell phone number and focusing not only on the outcome but also on each client’s recovery and well-being. When evaluating a case, Josh carefully analyzes liability, injuries, medical treatment, and available insurance coverage to build the strongest possible claim.
