Nominate a child to win a free bike this summer!

Nominations for the 16th Annual Charles Boyk Law Offices Bikes for Kids contest are now open! Parents, teachers, family, and friends are encouraged to nominate a child by telling us why they deserve a new bike. Whether it’s for their positive impact on the community, academic achievements, or their resilience in overcoming adversity, we want to hear their story. From all the submissions, we’ll select 10 remarkable kids to receive a brand-new bike, courtesy of Charles E. Boyk Law Offices. All nominations must be submitted by end of day on June 16, 2024.

Our Story

Charles Boyk Law has given away over 150 bikes since its Bikes for Kids program launched in 2009. “We created Bikes for Kids to honor the incredible kids in northwest Ohio who rise above challenges and selflessly serve others,” says Chuck Boyk.

But it isn’t just about gifting bikes—it’s about acknowledging the extraordinary efforts of children who make a difference. Boyk Law is dedicated to promoting bicycle safety and celebrating outstanding children in our community.

Winners Receive a Custom Fitted Bike

Charles Boyk Law always purchases bikes from Wersell’s, Toledo’s oldest bike shop. Jill Wersell, owner of Wersell’s Bike Shop, personally custom fits the bikes and provides a helmet and bike lock for each of the Bikes for Kids winners. “We are always excited to work with Chuck Boyk to give away bikes to some great kids!”

Boyk Law is also partnering with Brightz, a local company that produces LED lighting for Bicycles nationwide. Bikes for Kids winners will also receive Brightz LED lighting products to ride after dark in safety and style.
