$250,000 POLICY LIMIT SETTLEMENT – Man Severely Injured After Drive Fails to Yield the Right of Way

Our client was driving eastbound on Sterns Road in Whiteford Township, Monroe County, Michigan. He was driving towards the ramp to enter US 23 South. Another car was traveling westbound on Sterns Road and attempted to turn left into the entrance ramp. However, the car failed to yield the right of way to our client and struck our client’s car. Our client’s car was totaled. The jaws of life had to be used to help him out of the car. He was taken by EMS to ProMedica Toledo Hospital where he remained in the ICU for three days. He suffered a broken sternum, two broken ribs, a partial collapsed lung, and two broken vertebra processes. He was forced to use a walker and wear a heart hugger on his chest.

Soon after the accident, our client was referred by another attorney to our firm. Andrea Young and her team began to work with him to track his medical bills, speak to the liable driver’s insurance company, and make sure he received the treatment he needed. Before going to litigation, Andrea Young was able to negotiate a full policy limits offer for our client. Our client accepted a $250,000 offer from the liable driver’s insurance company.
