18th annual Bikes for Kids Giveaway

Our Law Firm will give away 10 bikes this summer to deserving children in NW Ohio who are nominated by their community. Parents, teachers, family members, and friends are invited to nominate a child for the Bikes for Kids contest. You can nominate a child for overcoming adversity, positively impacting their community, or any other reason. We will choose ten nominees to receive a free bike, compliments of Charles Boyk Law.

In 2009, Bikes for Kids was launched to promote bicycle safety and recognize exceptional children in the community.

Our Story

Bikes for Kids was created to promote bicycle safety and recognize deserving children in our community. “We started Bikes for Kids to honor and reward some amazing children in northwest Ohio who rise above challenges and selflessly serve others,” says Chuck Boyk. “We have given away over 180 bikes to extraordinary children.”

Charles Boyk Law buys the bikes from Wersell’s, Toledo’s oldest bike shop. Jill Wersell, the store owner, will personally custom-fit the bike and provide a helmet and a bike lock for each of our Bikes for Kids winners. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Charles Boyk Law Offices on Bikes for Kids!” says Jill Wersell. “This is a great opportunity to recognize and reward some excellent and deserving children. We look forward to it every year.”

Winners Receive a Custom Fitted Bike

Charles Boyk Law always purchases bikes from Wersell’s, Toledo’s oldest bike shop. Jill Wersell, owner of Wersell’s Bike Shop, personally custom fits the bikes and provides a helmet and bike lock for each of the Bikes for Kids winners. “We are always excited to work with Chuck Boyk to give away bikes to some great kids!”
