Fond Farewell to Friends & Family: Nancy, Penny & Ellie
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to one of our long-time team members
and two of our best-loved Pawyers. Nancy Thomas worked as a paralegal at Boyk Law
Offices for almost 10 years in support of clients by working closely with attorneys Mike
Bruno and Chuck Boyk. She was instrumental in bringing dogs into our offices. Her
French Bulldogs, Penny, Dexter and Ellie have been fixtures at Boyk Law for years, and
paved the way for other office dogs.
“Nancy, Penny, Ellie and Dexter all played important roles in the functioning of Boyk
Law,” says Chuck Boyk. “Nancy is a top-notch professional legal assistant with
knowledge, work ethic, and did a fantastic job for our clients. Her French bulldogs,
especially my all time favorite Penny, provided happiness to our entire team and
clients. We wish them all the best.”
“I can’t say enough good things about Nancy Thomas,” says Attorney Mike Bruno. “She
was excellent at managing my cases. When interacting with clients, the dogs brought
out the tenderness not often exhibited by clients in a law office setting.”
Boyk Law presented Nancy with a hand painted portrait of Penny as a parting gift. A
copy of it was also hung in the staff break room, down the hall from her office, which
was rededicated as “Penny’s Kitchen”, where she was a regular visitor, on the prowl for
treats. The attorneys and staff of Boyk Law Offices wish Nancy success and happiness.
