Boyk Pawyer of the Month: Loki
Loki is a two-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier Mix belonging to Boyk Attorney, Zac
Shaffer. When he was rescued in 2024, his name was Phelon, which is not exactly
a good name for a Pawyer. Today, he is affectionately known as Loki, but Zac says
he also answers to the following aliases: Bubba, Bud, and Jailbird. Loki was initially
adopted by another family, but about six months later, they relocated and were
unable to take him with them. They asked their friend, Zac, if he could help.
“I met him the first time, and he immediately established residency in my heart,”
says Zac. Zac had lost his dog “Thor” to an unexpected health issue about a year
prior. “I changed his name to Loki,” says Zac. “But one nickname that did stick
from his original name is ‘Jailbird’. Whenever he is confined in my office with me, I
refer to him as my little Jailbird.”
Loki’s office crush is Ruby, another Pawyer (Golden Retriever) from a nearby office.
When he “jailbreaks,” he typically rushes to Ruby’s office.
Loki loves everyone and everything, except for trucks, vacuum cleaners, and
squirrels. “When we go for a walk, and a truck passes, he starts bouncing and
whining. He will look back and forth between me and the truck with a look of pure
disappointment in me for not letting him run loose to chase it.”
Loki’s favorite toys are balls and anything that squeaks.
“His personality is the canine equivalent of a Sour Patch Kid,” explains Zac. “He can
go from, “I just drank 10 five-hour energy drinks,” to “I need to hibernate on your
lap” in just a few seconds.” Loki doesn’t come into the office every day, but when
he does, he is a tail-wagging force of nature, excited to see everyone.
Charles Boyk Law Offices. LLC is happy to have Loki as part of our loyal pack of
Pawyers!
