Yaz Labels May Include More Blood Cot Information
In documents released on Tuesday, the FDA said that there is conflicting evidence about the risk of Yaz, but that the information should appear in labeling used by doctors and patients.

Statements from the FDA scientists say that they believe that there is support for increased risk and the labeling should reflect that. The FDA will ask a panel of outside experts to share their expertise and weigh in on whether some women should not take the drugs.

Other than blood clots, Yaz and its generic forms of the drug have been linked to causing…

  • Strokes
  • Heart Attacks
  • Benign Liver Tumors
  • Bleeding Inside the Brain
  • High Blood Pressure
