Fatal Prescription Errors
Fatal Prescription Errors

Our Toledo, Ohio nursing home abuse lawyers urge caregivers and patients to double check prescriptions, especially those given to the elderly.

The Journal of Hospital Medicine has published a recent nationwide study that showed that nearly half of around 500,000 patients in hospitals that are 65 and older have been prescribed drugs at least once or even more than once, that are known to be unsafe for elderly people to use.

This is a serious issue and problem in our hospitals across the country.

Health care professionals should be taking more precautionary steps to ensure that the medication that is being given to not only the elderly people in our society, but to everyone, are the proper prescriptions and are safe for use by the patient consuming the medication.
