Recall: Envi Recalls Electric Panel Heaters Due to Burn Hazard
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall of about 35,000 Envi high-efficiency electric panel heaters. It has been reported that improper wire crimping by the manufacturer can cause the unit to overheat, smoke, or melt, causing a burn or fire hazard.
The products were manufactured by eheat, Inc., of Texas and online direct by the company and at some specialty retailers between July 2015 through August 2016.
Purchasers should contact the company immediately to have the device repaired.
