Child Suffers Wrongful Death After Construction Accident
Our Toledo, Ohio child accident lawyers were sad to read about the death of a 12-year-old girl after a piece of equipment fell on her at a construction site.
According to the Jere Beasley Report, the Redding, California girl had jumped up to grab a forklift-like metal bar, and when she did, the equipment fell forward and landed on her, crushing her skull.
Her father filed suit against the contractor of the construction site, claiming that the site should have been fenced off and that the equipment should have been chained so that it wouldn’t fall over.
It is also alleged that the equipment manufacturer was also at fault for not having a label on the machine warning that it could easily tip over.
