10 People Were Injured In A Rollover Accident
According to the State Police, 34-year-old Margarita Miranda was driving a 2004 Ford Freestyle north on the right lane of an interstate. 19 year old Anthony Nguyen driving a Chrysler Concorde also traveling north, they were in the center lane and attempted to change into the occupied right lane. The Chrysler hit the Ford and caused it to spin out of control, slam into the right hand metal guardrail and flip over.
Miranda was carrying six passengers. An eight year-old boy was thrown from the Ford during the rollover accident and then he was trapped under the vehicle.
Luckily for him, several Good Samaritans stopped at the scene and lifted the vehicle off of the small boy.
A total of ten people were injured in the wreck, five people were transported by ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center. Miranda was air lifted to UMass Memorial Medical Center. Three of the injured were transported to Emerson Hospital and one was taken to Health Alliance Hospital. Names of the victims have not yet been released.
The state police are currently investigating the accident.
