1 Critical After Monroe County Motorcycle Crash
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reports that Phillip Barron of Newport, MI is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in Monroe County that happened late Sunday or early Monday on Post Road, west of Newport South Road in Frenchtown Township.
Barron was driving a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Post Road when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. He was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
The preliminary investigation reveals that speed is likely a factor in the crash.
Barron was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He was then transported by ambulance to Oakwood South Shore Hospital in Trenton, MI where he is listed in critical condition.
