Attorney Zac Shaffer is a Remote Online Notary

Public Notaries have existed in Ohio law since the 1800s. While laws and regulations changed, the process mostly remained the same: meet someone in person, verify their identity, and notarize their form(s). While straightforward, it is rarely ever simple. From trying to schedule appointments with notaries to overcoming geographical challenges, the process of getting a document notarized can be very frustrating. As the practice of law continues to develop with new and improved technology, we here at Charles Boyk Law want to do everything we can to grow and develop our practices to best serve all of our clients: former, current, and new.

One of the best upgrades is our ability to notarize documents electronically. Whether you need to notarize a document for your case or for personal reasons, we can help you. Life can be busy and stressful under normal circumstances. But when you are involved in an accident, life can feel overwhelming. From losing a vehicle to changing your entire schedule around treatment, work, and family life, it can be difficult to find time to meet with a notary in person to sign your paperwork. Now, you don’t have to worry about the additional stress of traveling or rearranging your schedule. If you have access to a camera phone or a laptop, we can help you. In fact, you don’t even need to be in Ohio for us to help!

The process itself only takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Like all technology, there can be a learning curve for each user and, sometimes, computers and phones refuse to play nice. Attorney Zac Shaffer, our resident Remote Online Notary, understands the process and has spent time learning the subtleties of the software system needed to perform this service. His primary goal, other than to notarize your document, is to ensure that each client’s experience is as painless and simple as possible.

Attorney Zac Shaffer has been certified as a Remote Online Notary for the last few months and has been able to successfully help dozens of clients with this newly acquired resource. If you need a document notarized, but cannot find time or transportation, he is happy to help. For each session, there is a one-time $10 charge which is accessed by the online notary system, which is required for this process. Other online notaries in Ohio can cost up to $30 for each document notarized and an additional $10 for the online notary system fee.

Online notarization is just one way we can help you. As new technology and services become available, we will continue to develop and adapt to ensure that we are doing everything in our power to make your life easier.
