15th Annual Charles Boyk Law Bikes for Kids Contest Wrap-up
The 15th Annual Charles Boyk Law Bikes for Kids Contest wrapped up another summer with our tenth weekly bike giveaway. Isaiah, aka “ Izzy” was nominated by Larchmont Elementary School Psychologist, Sarah Darrow for his kindness and hard work. “He is a great student and an all-around great kid”, she said.
Chuck Boyk created Bikes for Kids in 2009, to promote bicycle safety and recognize exceptional children in the community who overcame challenges and did things for others. Nominations for the contest were open from May 1st through June 25th. A committee at Boyk Law chose the weekly winners. Since the program began, Charles Boyk Law Offices has given away over 150 bikes and counseled countless children and families on the importance of bicycle safety. Each of our winners received a bike courtesy of Charles Boyk Law Offices. The bikes were fitted, and a helmet and lock were provided by Wersell’s Bike Shop. Wersell’s is Toledo’s oldest Bike shop.
Charles Boyk Law also partnered with Brightz, a Toledo-based company that sells recreational lighting products nationwide. All of our Bikes for Kids winners also received LED bike lights courtesy of Brightz.
This year Charles Boyk Law gave away 11 bikes over the 10 weeks, and 6 of those winners were nominated by educators representing Bowling Green, Springfield, and Toledo Public School Districts.
