Driven by Leadership, Learning & Service
For Ava, becoming an attorney felt like a natural fit. A lifelong swimmer, accomplished student leader, and self-described “law school nerd,” she has always been drawn to writing, public speaking, and helping others solve problems. Originally from Brighton, Michigan, Ava attended Kalamazoo College before enrolling at the University of Toledo College of Law, while also pursuing an MBA online.
Her interest in personal injury law grew after taking Torts during her first year of law school. What began as an academic interest quickly became something more meaningful. She was drawn to the opportunity to work directly with individuals and help guide them through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. At Boyk Law, she appreciates seeing legal concepts come to life while learning from experienced attorneys who actively involve law clerks in meaningful work.
“It’s rewarding to see how the law can help real people regain a sense of control.”
– Ava Williams
Ava is heavily involved on campus, serving in the Student Bar Association, Women’s Law Student Association, the Law Review, and Delta Theta Phi while maintaining Dean’s List status and pursuing Law Review opportunities. She credits much of her success to a strong work ethic, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning.
When she is not studying, Ava enjoys swimming, Pilates, spending time with her family, and watching her favorite comfort show, Glee. Her goal is to build a successful personal injury practice while staying close to family and maintaining a healthy balance between her career and life.
