Tractor-Trailer Crashes into Another Tractor-Trailer, Causes Client Permanent Shoulder Damage, Results on $500,000 Settlement

While driving their tractor-trailer in northwest Ohio, our client was struck by another tractor-trailer who drifted into the far-right lane on the Ohio Turnpike. The force of the drifting tractor-trailer caused our client’s tractor-trailer to be forced off of the road, towards a six foot drop off. Though trying to maintain control of the tractor-trailer, our client was unable to. Fortunately, our client was able to drive his damaged tractor-trailer to nearby truck stop.

The following day, our client awoke with tremendous shoulder pain, and sought treatment. The diagnoses they received was a troubling one; out client would no longer be able to be a professional driver. Because of their shoulder injury, our client was unable to find comparable work, and was forced to take positions earning significantly less than what he made as a professional driver.

In light of the lost earning capacity, medical bills, and pain and suffering our attorneys and staff filed a lawsuit. After numerous depositions, extensive discovery, and court mediations our attorneys reached a $500,000 settlement.
