Blown Stop Sign Accident Leads to Life Flight and Recovery of More Than $100,000

In August of 2021, our client was the passenger in a car driven by another person, headed northwest of Defiance Ayersville Pleasant Bend Road in Holgate, Ohio. At the same time, another driver was traveling southbound on Defiance Henry County Line Road. The other driver failed to stop at a stop sign and, as a result, impacted the front passenger side of our client’s vehicle. After impact, our client had to crawl from the vehicle before it caught fire and eventually burned down to the frame. He was taken via Life Flight to ProMedica Toledo Hospital where he was admitted for two days with a broken sternum and injuries to his right shoulder, abdomen, forehead, ribs, and spine. As a result of his serious injuries, our client missed significant time from work, totaling nearly $20,000 in lost wages. Recovering this amount, plus compensation for his medical bills and pain and suffering, gave our client the ability to cope financially with the havoc this accident caused in his life.
