While traveling east on US 223, our client was struck by another vehicle who was attempting to illegally turn left onto US 223. The cars collided and both received heavy damage, with our client’s vehicle requiring the Jaws of Life to be used for her to exit. Our client’s vehicle was totaled. Our client was taken to ProMedica Toledo Hospital by EMS. She was evaluated and found to have four different fractures in her leg, a punctured lung, broken sternum, broken wrist, and a broken ankle. She required multiple surgeries on her ankle. She also required surgery on the vertebrae in her neck. Our client requires long-term rehabilitation and has to remain dependent on others for the remainder of her life.
