Look Both Ways! Man Runs Into Road And Gets Hit By A Car

The name of a 23-year-old Rutheford man that was critically injured after he ran onto Route 46 and was struck by a car early Wednesday morning has not been released.

The man was hit by a 2003 Infinity driven by a 27-year-old Clifton woman just after he left Pub 46 on Route 46 around 2 a.m.

He was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with life-threatening head injuries. His current physical condition is unknown at this particular time.

Police authorities do not know why he ran into the road, and are still investigating what led up to the crash. The driver of the car was not injured and not cited for any wrongdoing or for breaking any laws.
