Hancock County Accident Injures 5

A two-vehicle accident on Thursday evening in Hancock County sent five people to the hospital.

The accident happened at 5:42 p.m. at the intersection of county Roads 226 and 262 in Washington Township. Roger Tanner was traveling southbound on county Road 262 in a 2000 Volkswagon and entered the intersection at county Road 226. Tanner entered the path of a 2002 Ford Escort operated by 25-year-old Marcus Everly.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene due to their heavy damages. Tanner and two passengers from Everly’s vehicle, Danielle Gordon and Bradion Trapp were taken to Fostoria hospital.

Everly was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital, along with Kaydri Hawkins, both with unknown injuries.

According to The Lima News, Tanner has been citadel with a failure to yield.

Since Tanner has been cited for a failure to yield, this accident is deemed his fault.
