Driver Killed In Airport Highway Crash

On Monday evening a driver of an Alero went left of center on Airport Highway causing a head-on collision with a semi-truck.

The driver of the Alero died on site, while the driver of the semi-truck was taken to UTMC. Troopers have reported that the driver has non-life threatening injuries.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the motorist that died on the scene, as well as the semi-truck driver.

Driving Left of Center

Ohio Revised Code 4511.29 states that no vehicle should drive left of center on the roadway unless that side of the road is clearly visible and free of traffic. Motorists who violate this rule are guilty of a minor misdemeanor.

We remind drivers to pay full attention while operating a vehicle. It is unknown what caused the driver of the Alero to drive left of center, but there are many distractions that could have done so.

When attempting to pass vehicles by using the left side of the road, ensure that it is clear of oncoming traffic for a sufficient distance so you do not interfere with approaching traffic.

If you have been involved in an accident with a motorist who drove left of center due to distraction or an attempt to pass traffic, call our Ohio car accident lawyers at 800.637.8170. Our team has the resources necessary to help you receive the compensation that you deserve.
