Driver Killed And Passengers Severely Injured In Rollover Accident
A truck lost control and overturned in a Fulton County field early Sunday killing the driver and seriously injuring two passengers. The truck was being driven by Nathan Parsons, 23, of Delta, Ohio when it lost control and overturned, ejecting Parsons along with passengers, Aaron Betz, 23, and Paige Simon, 21.
Betz and Simon suffered serious injuries and were transported to area hospitals.
A third passenger, Ashley Herr, 22, suffered only minor injuries in the crash. Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash, and the accident is still under investigation.
Every year over 500 people are killed in single vehicle accidents in the state of Ohio.
Drunk driving crashes account for nearly one-third of all traffic related deaths. In 2010, 10,228 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes.
Traffic accidents are tragic and impact more than just those involved. Many times in both single vehicle and multi-car accidents passengers in the vehicle are seriously injured or even killed through no fault of their own. When a passenger is injured in a crash, they do have rights. The person who caused the accident can be held liable for the serious injuries that they sustained.
