Car Crash Kills 1, Injures 3 In West Toledo
A two-car accident at the intersection of West Alexis and Talmadge injured three people and claimed the life of another last night.
The accident happened when a pickup truck driven by Shannon Barto and carrying her daughter Sabreena Barto, Eric Madden Sr. and Eric Madden Jr. turned onto Talmadge from Alexis into the path of an SUV crossing the intersection. The SUV t-boned the truck, and the pickup truck flipped onto its side.
Shannon Barto was pronounced dead on the scene; the other three passengers in the pickup truck were taken to Toledo Hospital. The driver of the SUV was unhurt.
