Bus Acident In New York Kills 15

A bus belonging to World Wide Travel crashed along Interstate 95 in The Bronx, New York. The crash took place early in the morning on March 12th. The driver of the vehicle lost control and struck two sign poles one after the other. The accident killed 14 instantly and forced the closing of I-95 in both directions for much of the day. The bus was traveling from a casino in Connecticut to Chinatown in New York. This is not the first incident with this company, however. The company had been involved in at least two accidents in the last two years as well as being cited five times for fatigued driving from December 2009 to October 2010.

On top of the deaths, there were also serious injuries to some of the survivors. The injuries included things like internal bleeding, broken bones and skull and spinal fractures. The driver of the vehicle claims that the cause of the accident was a tractor trailer cutting him off, however, witnesses claim they did not see that. The accident is still under investigation. The bus company had a responsibility to keep their passengers safe. Their failure to do so was very costly. If you have lost a loved one in a similar manner, you need help.
