Bar Named In Drunk Driving Wrongful Death Case

In January of 2010 Matthew Webster went out drinking at Ten-Pin Lounge and The Woodstock Lounge. After consuming a significant amount of alcohol both companies let him leave in his car.

While he was driving along State Highway 16 he veered left of center and hit another vehicle head on. William Churchmann, the driver of the other vehicle was killed instantly.

The family of Mr. Churchmann have named both bars in their lawsuit.

The claim is that both bars were negligent and are liable according to Illinois law. The family is seeking damages in an unspecified amount and court costs.

Both of these bars displayed negligence in serving alcohol as well as letting Mr. Webster drive away. As a result of this, someone lost their life.
