2-Year-Old Boy Killed By Car
Tuesday evening two-year-old Ethan Freck was in his back yard playing, while his mother was cutting his sisters hair. Bianca Freck said she saw Ethan run off full speed toward Pickle Road in Oregon, Ohio. She ran after him yelling his name and telling him to stop, but the little boy just turned around, smiled and kept running. By that time it was too late she watched as a car driven by James Riley, 92, hit her child.Oregon police Lt. Hank Everitt said that Mr. Riley had not been exceeding the 35 mph speed limit and was not talking on a cell phone, listening to radio, or under the influence of any alcohol or drugs. Mr. Riley told police he did not see the boy until he was about 20 feet in front of the car. There have been no charges filed against him either.

Ethan was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center but could not be saved. Tragically he was pronounced dead less than an hour after the accident.
