2 Vehicle Crash Kills Woman, Injures Man
A two-vehicle accident in Plymouth Township on Thursday morning killed a Shelby woman.
The accident happened on Ohio 61 south of Dinninger Road at around 5:30 a.m. The driver of a 1997 Honda Accord, 22-year-old Kimberly Welch, was driving northbound on Ohio 61 when her car went left of center. Welch’s vehicle then went head-on into a vehicle driven by William Funk.
After the accident, Funk was taken to Shelby MedCentral Hospital with injuries. He is listed in critical yet stable condition at the hospital.
One of the suspected factors in the crash is icy and snowy road conditions. It remains under investigation at this time.
