$250,000 SETTLEMENT – Woman Life Flighted Due to Broken Femur in Car Collision

Our client was driving her vehicle westbound on US Route 6 in Ridgeville Township. Another vehicle was driving on County Road 24 northbound. The vehicle stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of US Route 6 and County Road 24. While our client was approaching this intersection, the vehicle pulled out and collided with our client. Both vehicles traveled off the intersection. The other driver was cited under RC 4511.43A for failing to yield the right of way to our client.

Due to the injuries of our client, she required Life Flight to bring her to St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Her left femur was broken and required emergency surgery upon her arrival. She also had a fracture in one of her ribs. She was transferred to New York, where she resides, and remained in the hospital for six days.

Charles Boyk and his team helped the client with the medical bills, negotiating with insurance, and working on a settlement. During initial negotiations, we received an offer of $70,000. Charles Boyk filed a lawsuit on behalf of our client. After gathering more evidence, we were able to negotiate a full policy offer settlement. Our client accepted a $250,000 settlement to compensate for her medical bills, property damage and suffering.
