Valfilm accident leads to worker’s death in Findlay, Ohio

An investigation is still pending involving the polyethylene packaging company Valfilm and the death of a worker after he was struck by a semi-truck.

According to the Toledo Blade, 41-year-old Andrew Hohman was working on a hydraulic mechanism at a Valfilm loading dock when he was pushed again the dock by the reversing semi-truck.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In situations like this one, it is likely that OSHA (the Occupational Safety and Health Administration) will complete their own investigation to determine what happened and if any work standards were violated.
