Families Devastated by Opioids May Be Entitled to Compensation

There’s an epidemic taking over our country and Boyk Law is going after the culprit.

If you or a loved one has been affected by an opioid addiction, you or your family may be entitled to a claim against the drug makers and distributors.

Fatal drug overdoses remain the leading cause of accidental death in Ohio, above car crashes, a trend that began in 2007.

According to the Ohio Department of Health, in 2016, unintentional drug overdoses caused the deaths of 4,050 Ohio residents, a 32% increase compared to 2015 when there were 3,050 overdose deaths.

The number of heroin and other opioid related overdose deaths, tracked by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office representing 19 counties in Ohio and two counties in Southeastern Michigan, has increased from 8 in 2010 to 288 in 2016.
