Finding Purpose Through Curiosity & Compassion
Aly never expected personal injury law to be the path that would capture her interest. A third-year law student at the University of Toledo, she has experience working in workers’ compensation and mergers and acquisitions before joining Boyk Law. While she initially worried that plaintiff-side work might be emotionally difficult, she quickly discovered something else: the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
Raised in Holland and a graduate of Delta High School, Aly describes herself as naturally analytical and endlessly curious. She enjoys digging into complex issues, understanding how laws are applied, and connecting legal concepts to real-world situations. Her experience working full-time while attending school helped develop the discipline and work ethic that continue to serve her today.
What has surprised her most about personal injury law is the human side of the practice. She has found that many clients simply want to be heard and understood. Seeing how legal advocacy can help people navigate difficult situations has reinforced her belief that empathy is one of the most important skills an attorney can develop.

Outside of work and law school, Aly enjoys visiting local parks, attending Walleye games, following the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings, and spending time with friends and family. Her long-term goal is simple: build a fulfilling legal career while maintaining balance and making time for the people who matter most in her life.
