Injured Worker Sues Mercy Health For Denied Workers’ Compensation Benefits
Our client is suing their workplace, Mercy Health in Toledo, Ohio, for not providing her with appropriate workers’ compensation.
In March 2015, our client sustained injuries to her head and neck at work, which then developed into numerous additional medical complications. She notified her employer and filed for workers’ compensation benefits. When her original injuries continued to progress, she requested additional allowances to amend her original workers’ compensation request. Despite her efforts and evidence showing that her new conditions developed as a result of the initial injuries, Mercy Health disputed and appealed to have the additional allowance reversed.
As a result, we are suing Mercy Health for failing to provide appropriate workers’ compensation for the current state of our client’s workplace injuries so that she will be properly compensated. To this end, we plan to aid our client in the pursuit of the additional allowances she is owed.
