Awarded To Injured Worker After TBI

Our client was at work on a construction site mixing cement when the mixer blocked up, swung, and hit him on the right side and threw him against a cement wall where he landed on his left side, left flank and back.

He was seen at St. Luke’s Hospital where he complained of pain on the left flank & left lower back, severe chest pain, and pain in his left hip. CT scans were taken and showed spinal fractures of L1 and 2 and multiple rib fractures on the left from rib 8 to 11, which caused fluid build-up in his chest. Our client was treated with morphine and Zofran and transferred to UTMC via ambulance for observation in the trauma service where he spent three days hospitalized.
