$150,000 SETTLEMENT – Man Injured in Auto Accident after Missed Stop Sign

Our client was sitting in the passenger seat in a car travelling northbound on Harvest Lane. Another car was travelling westbound on Barstow Avenue at the same time. At the intersection of Harvest Lane and Barstow Avenue, the other driver drove through the stop sign and the car our client was in ran into them. The Toledo Police Department responded to the scene of the accident. They cited the other driver for failing to stop at the stop sign. Our client was taken by ambulance to St. Annes Hospital. He complained of pain in his shoulder, knee, neck, and lower back. He had abrasions to his chest and leg.
After being treated with physical therapy for 10 months, our client was still having pain. He required stem cell treatment, steroid injections, and other over-the-counter pain medications. After multiple MRIs, our client’s doctors decided surgery was the best option. With the surgery and all of the treatment, our client went through medical treatment due to the accident for almost an entire year.
When our client came to our firm for help, Charles Boyk and his team got to work to help him. Our law office was able to get a settlement for our client before ever going into litigation. Our client accepted a $150,000 settlement to compensate him.
