$100,000 Policy Limits Settlement – Woman Sustains Serious Injury When at-Fault Driver Fails To Yield the Right of Way
Car Accident InjuriesIn August 2019, our client sustained serious injuries when she was involved in a motor vehicle collision in Hancock County, Ohio. Our client was traveling in the northwest direction on Blanchard Avenue near its intersection with Strong Avenue. At the same time another driver was traveling in the southeast direction on Blanchard Avenue near the intersection with Strong Avenue. The other driver attempted to make a left turn in front of our client, failing to yield the right of way to our client, and causing him to collide with the driver’s side of our client’s vehicle. The force of the collision was so strong that our client’s vehicle traveled off the roadway and into a street sign. Due to the severity of her injuries, our client was transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital. For nearly two years following the accident our client dealt with continuing left elbow pain in which she attempted to alleviate with rehabilitation and steroid injections. Unfortunately, those treatments did not prove successful which lead to her doctor recommending that she undergo surgical intervention to repair the injury. When reaching a settlement with the at-fault driver’s insurance company did not prove successful, our office filed a lawsuit on our client’s behalf. After conducting discovery and depositions we were able to secure a policy limits settlement in the amount of $100,000 for our client.
