Drunk Driving Sentencing

Charles Robert Creaney, 23, was sentenced to spend 14 months in jail after he plead guilty to one count of negligent homicide by motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and one count of possession of marijuana.

The charges stem from a December 4, 2011 traffic accident where Creaney was traveling east on Route 23 when he crossed the double yellow line and struck Donald Keith Van Gosen.

Donald was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation of the accident showed that Creaney’s vehicle was traveling between 50-56 moh during heavy fog and that nearly 3 hours after the accident his blood alcohol level was .
