Awareness Brought To Drunk Driving In Toledo
Awareness Brought To Drunk Driving In Toledo

The Ohio State Highway Patrol had an OVI enforcement blitz this Friday from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Saturday. The purpose of this was to bring awareness to the dangers of drunk and impaired driving.

The 12-hour focus on drunk driving was the 29th annual “Circle Toledo”. The Ohio State Highway Patrol released the results of Circle Toledo, detailed below:

  • 200 vehicles were stopped during the 12-hours blitz
  • 130 citations were issued
  • 11 impaired drivers were arrested

As explained above, the goal of this is to create public awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving. The goal is to prevent impaired drivers from getting behind the wheel and putting themselves in danger as well as others.

Our office feels very strongly about reducing the number of impaired drivers. We have represented clients who were victims of drunk driving accidents, and while we were able to help them through the situation, it is not a place that anyone wants to find themselves.

Drunk driving can lead to serious accidents, injuries, and fatalities. In addition to the risk to the motorist and other people’s lives, it also brings a world of legal trouble to the drunk driver.

If you are involved in an accident that was caused by a drunk driver, you still need to have an experienced lawyer working on your behalf to ensure that you receive the full amount of a settlement that you deserve. They will be able to work on your behalf, ensuring that you receive the compensation that is deserved for the injuries – both physical and emotional – that you have sustained.

Having a lawyer working for you will also make the whole process much easier, as they take over all communication with the insurance company so you aren’t stressed dealing with that as well. The lawyers at our office also give our clients referrals to the best doctor in the area that can treat the injuries they have.

We have established relationships with some of the top doctors in Toledo, allowing us to help you receive the best medical care.

If you have been involved in an accident that was caused by a drunk driver and you have sustained injuries, call our office at 800.637.8170. You will have the opportunity to speak directly with one of our lawyers, explain the accident, and ask any questions that you may have. We also recommend requesting a free copy of The Ohio Accident Book that will serve as your guide throughout the injury claim.
