Confidential Settlement – Semi Truck Runs Red Light, Seriously Injuring Man
Truck AccidentIn January 2022, our client was operating his vehicle through the intersection of Water Street and Locust Street in Oak Harbor, Ohio. As our client was driving, a semi-truck that was traveling westbound on Water Street, ran the red light causing it to collide with the driver’s side of the vehicle that our client was traveling in. Due to the damage caused by the collision, our client was unable to be removed from the vehicle on the driver’s side and EMS crews were required to extract our client by moving him over the center console and out the passenger side door. He was then transported to Freemont Memorial Hospital. At the hospital, diagnostic testing revealed that our client had sustained multiple rib fractures, a collapsed lung, injury to his spleen, and multiple pelvic fractures. Due to the severity of his injuries, our client required being transferred to Toledo Hospital for further observation and treatment.
