Receptionist Shannon Liebich Joins Charles E. Boyk Law Offices

Shannon Liebich is the receptionist at Charles Boyk Law Offices. Hers is the friendly voice you hear when you call, 419-241-1395. She answers our incoming calls with a smile on her face and then quickly and efficiently routes them where they need to go.

While her title says Receptionist, Shannon does a bit of everything in our office. “I take care of mail, sending out New Client packets” she explains. “I mail out checks, create spreadsheets, and help the paralegals with whatever they need.”

She grew up in Delta, Ohio, and worked in banking while she attended college. She advanced quickly at the bank and worked there for 22 years in positions with increasing responsibility.

“I was at their headquarters, as the secretary to the CEO for a couple of years,” she explained. “Then I became the IRA and Health Savings Account Administrator. I would travel to different places and help the employees set up new accounts. Unfortunately, that meant I was on the road all the time, and working very long days. So, I transitioned back to being a bank teller in my hometown of Lyons.“

However, after Shannon experienced a bank robbery first-hand, she decided to look for another line of work. “I was a receptionist at Libbey Glass for several years,” explains Shannon, “and then I found the right fit here at Charles Boyk Law.”

Shannon and her husband Ken enjoyed home renovation projects until they suffered a house fire in January of 2024. “We bought that house a couple of years earlier and totally remodeled it. We were on our last project in the downstairs bathroom when a fire started in the garage.”

When it came time to rebuild the house, they hired out the work to others. “I think we’re done with DIY projects,” she says. They finally moved back into her rebuilt home, a year and a day after the fire.

The Receptionist position is vital to our firm. They are often the first point of contact for new clients, and she connects existing clients and other callers with the appropriate Boyk Law
Attorneys, Paralegals, or support staff to keep their cases moving forward.

“I like to be helpful,” says Shannon. “I’m always here when somebody needs something. I hope they feel like they can come to me for that assistance or just to stop and say hi.”
