$95,000 Settlement – Passenger Sustained Bilateral Meniscus Tears in Motor Vehicle Accident

In 2017, our client was riding as a passenger in a car when it was involved in a motor vehicle accident. As the car our client was riding in proceeded through the intersection of Collingwood Boulevard and Bancroft Street in Toledo, Ohio, the defendant driver failed to stop at the red light, striking the vehicle. The Toledo Police Department responded to the scene of the accident and cited the defendant driver for failing to stop at a red light. As a result of the accident, our client sustained serious injuries to both of his knees. He was diagnosed with a tear to both his left and right meniscus and was required to undergo surgery to repair the injuries.

Our office originally filed suit in Lucas County for claims of negligence. Luckily, due to a successful negotiation we obtained a settlement for our client without him ever needing to set foot in a courtroom for trial. The settlement we were able to obtain for our client will go a long way to account for his injuries and the medical expenses he has occurred.
