$101,000 Settlement – Passenger Injured In Rear-End Auto Accident

In 2014, our client was a passenger in a vehicle when they were involved in a motor vehicle accident.  As the car was traveling southbound on State Route 109 in Liberty Township, Ohio, the driver slowed to make a left turn. The defendant driver, failing to notice the car our client was riding in slowing down in front of her, struck the vehicle. The defendant driver was appropriately cited by the Ohio State Highway Patrol for causing the accident.

Several days after the accident when his pain had failed to subside, our client went to a nearby emergency room to have his injuries assessed. He was found to have sustained injuries to his neck and lower back and was instructed to follow up with an orthopedic doctor. Upon follow up, it was recommended that our client receive injections and undergo physical therapy to treat his injuries. When these less invasive treatments failed to lessen our client’s pain, it was recommended that he undergo surgery.

We were retained to assist our client shortly after this horrific accident occurred. We filed suit in the Common Pleas Court of Henry County, but through successful negotiations we avoided trial and obtained a settlement for our client. The settlement we recovered on his behalf will go a long way to account for his pain and suffering.
