$100,000 Settlement – Woman Sustains Numerous Serious Injuries When Driver Hits Her Head On
Car Accident InjuriesIn June 2019, our client was severely injured when she was involved in a motor vehicle accident. As our client was driving southbound on State Route 295 in Lucas County, Ohio, the defendant driver, driving northbound, drove left of center and hit our client head on. Our client was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital via Life Flight to treat her critical injuries.
At the hospital, our client was found to have sustained several severe injuries. She was diagnosed with fractures to her femur, fibula, arm, elbow, both hips, ankle, several fingers, and her clavicle, along with multiple broken bones in her back. Due to the nature of her injuries, our client was required to be placed on a ventilator for several days. She was also required to undergo multiple invasive and painful surgeries to repair her extensive injuries. Our client remained in the hospital for several weeks following the accident.
We were contacted by our client’s fiancé shortly after the accident occurred to assist our client in her recovery from this horrific accident. While the defendant driver did have insurance, he had failed to add his new truck to his insurance policy when he bought the vehicle just a few months prior to the accident. Luckily, our client was covered under her own underinsured motorist policy and we were able to obtain a policy limits settlement for her under that policy.
