WARNING: Nesquik Recall
Nestle has issued a voluntary recall limited to the NESQUIK Chocolate Powder. The limited quantities were announced by Nestle as the 10.9, 21.8 and 40.7 ounce canisters.
The NESQUIK company is removing the canisters from distribution due to a possible presence of Salmonella. The company was notified by the ingredient supplier, Omya, Inc. that it issued its own recall of certain masses of the ingredient calcium carbonate.
There have been no reports of illnesses or adverse health effects associated with the product. Consumers who have purchased the product between October and November are asked to match the UPC codes and expiration date with the information given from the company. The information can be found on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website. Consumers should not consume it and should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
