Step 2 Children’s Products Recalls Riding Toys

The Charles E. Boyk Law Offices would like to keep you informed about the recall of children’s toys.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Here is some information on the product:

The Step2 Company LLC of Streetsboro, Ohio has issued a recent recall of one of its products, a riding toy sold between January and August 2012 at retailers including Target Stores. The recall is a result of four incidents in which a child using the product leans too far forward, falling over the handlebars. These reports have resulted in concussions, bumps, and cuts to the gums and lip of a child.

Specifically, the product is named the X-Rider Car, featuring a red body with yellow handlebars and seats, and blue stickers on the front to simulate headlights.

Dimensions of the product are 14 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 19 inches long; and Step2’s contact information can be found on the left side of the product.

Consumers are urged to immediately remove the toy from the presence of the children and call Step2 for a free product replacement.

If you or someone you know has a child who has been injured by one of child accidents listed above you need information.
