A One-Car Crash In Seneca County Claimed The Life Of The Driver

The Fremont post of the State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash, which occurred at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday south of Tiffin on Ohio 53 near milepost 5 in Seneca County’s Seneca Township.

Steven E. Wood, was driving a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme south when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, re-entered the road and over-corrected before traveling off the left side of the road, troopers said.

After traveling off the left side, the vehicle began to overturn and partially ejected the driver as it struck a tree.

Wood, who had not been wearing a seat belt, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Seneca County Coroner’s Office.
