East Toledo Dog Bite Attack Causes Car Crash

On Tuesday, Toledo police were called to a residence on East Broadway around 7 p.m. after a pit bull bit its two owners, causing severe bodily injuries. The owners were in such a tough location that the responding police officers could not even get to the victims when they arrived and so they were forced to shoot the attacking dog.

While police were on the scene of the dog bite attack, a driver unrelated to the attack slammed into the sheriff’s car along East Broadway, causing a chain reaction car crash. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged for the car crash.

Both the names and the conditions of the dog bite victims have been released. The dog bite victims were taken to St.

Vincent Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

The pit bull dog is a molosser breed type of dog. The molosser breed of dogs includes pit bulls, rottweilers, presa canaries, cane corsos, mastiffs, dogo argentines, and fila brasieros.

These breeds are responsible for 79-percent of dog attacks that result in harm to the body, and 69-percent of attacks that result in fatality.
