A Head On Collision Leaves Two Dead
The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that SR 2 is closed at mile marker 4 in Ottawa County due to a double fatal accident that took place just after noon today.
The accident happened when a semi truck and an SUV collided head-on near the Ottawa National Wildllife Refuge. Both drivers were killed in the accident.
The identities of the drivers have not been released.
Officials have stated that the road will remain closed for some time as crews work hard to clean up the scene.
Drivers who usually travel along that road can use SR 590, SR 163 and SR 358 as a detour.
Our hearts go out to both families.
All drivers should have their undivided attention on the road at all time. It is very important to pay attention when operating a moving vehicle. You’re not only putting your life in danger, but also the drivers around you.
