1 Dead After Car Collides With Train
Alexandra D McDuffie, of Monroe, Michigan was driving west on Nadeau Road when her car was struck by a Norfolk Southern train that was traveling Southbound. McDuffie was ejected from the vehicle and landed on the road surface.
Ms. McDuffie’s daughter, age 8, was also in the vehicle during the crash. She was taken to St. Vincent’s Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, where she was listed in stable condition. Her current physical condition is unknown at this particular point in time.
Authorities do not think that alcohol appears to be a factor and the train signals were properly working at the time of the accident. The crash and the circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation.
