RECIPE: When Fall Gives You Apples – Make Homemade Apple Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
– 3 pounds apples peeled, cored, and chopped (about 6 medium)
– 1/3 cup water of apple cider
– 2-4 tablespoons of sugar or honey – sweeten to taste
– ½ teaspoon cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Peel, core, and slice the apples
2. Cook the apples over medium heat along with the rest of the ingredients below. Stir occasionally until the apples are soft.
3. Mash apples or mix with an immersion blender until smooth.
4. Store in the refrigerator or freezer for later use.
